After months of planning and preparation the 2012 USGBC GreenBuild Convention begins next week. I will be spending all day Wednesday and Thursday in the exhibition halls visiting over 1,000 exhibitors. I will be making videos with exhibitors of special interest and take photos of the overall experience. NetZeroMax.com will feature many of the videos and photos in future blogs. Having attended GreenBuild in Boston and Phoenix I understand how much of a big deal this is. I am looking forward to seeing more exhibits featuring Net Zero products, anywhere from higher efficiency solar panels, thin film PV, and wind generators, to advances in LED, geothermal, and HVAC technology. I will be easy to find at the convention because I will be the only one there wearing a shirt with the “NetZeroMax” logo on it. I look forward to establishing many new contacts and friends. It should be a great experience.
I must confess that the 2012 GreenBuild Convention is not the ONLY reason to fly from coast to coast. May I introduce you to two of the cutest granddaughters ever! Olivia (left) is dressed up as Dorothy, complete with ruby slippers. Olivia is 2 1/2 years old. Her little sister (below) is Cathrynn, who was born less than two months ago. This will be our first opportunity to see her in person, and quite honestly, I’m more excited about holding them than shaking hands at GreenBuild. We haven’t been with our son and daughter-in-law since the 4th of July and we are looking forward to seeing them again. 2012 GreenBuild Convention and granddaughters . . . can’t get much better than that!
More blogs will follow featuring my experience at GreenBuild 2012.
